Anahit's internship at the firm – a fine example of the partnership between France and Armenia in favor of students

Thanks to the partnership between the French University in Armenia (UFAR) and the Armenian General Benevolent Union (UGAB), a large number of Armenian students carry out internships every year in French private or public establishments. The main purpose of this program is to introduce young students to the operating methods of French structures by applying the theoretical knowledge acquired at university. It constitutes one of the major axes of the development of cooperation between France and Armenia.

This year, thanks to the efforts of Asya Movsisyan, Head of Development and Business Relations at UFAR, and Manon Zeidler, Administrative and Programs/Education, Arts and Culture Manager at UGAB, the law firm Ginestié Magellan Paley-Vincent participated in this partnership, hosting one of these UFAR students, Anahit Zakaryan, for nearly 2 months.

« This experience allowed me to discover the French legal world by working with lawyers from different departments: corporate, commercial litigation, private international law, CSR. This excellent opportunity to benefit from total immersion made me discover their methods and their different approach to files. I was lucky to be part of a team always ready to help me on professional issues, but also personal.
This experience also gave me the opportunity to develop a very rich professional network in France: a real plus! Finally, it was a great opportunity to present Armenia to French lawyers and to compare our two cultures ».

To François Devedjian, Chairman of the Cabinet, today more than ever, this partnership between French law firms and young Armenian lawyers is not only a source of development for Armenia but also the way to build your future on lasting foundations ».
