The Hauts de Seine Departmental Council of the Order of Physicians brings together this evening, Tuesday 31 January, the Dr Véronique Thys, Vice-President of CDOM 92 et Nathalie Boudet-Gizardin, a round table on the ethical and legal aspects of judicial reporting in the context of domestic violence.

Law No. 2020-936 of July 30, 2020, aimed at protecting victims of domestic violence, includes a criminal provision aimed at lift medical secrecy when the violence puts the life of the adult victim in immediate danger and that it is under the influence of the author of the violence.

Maître Boudet-Gizardin will propose a both legal and practical analysis of this new legal system. It will address in particular the sensitive subject of the detection of violence within the couple and the question of the jurisdictional circuit of reporting by the health professional.
